This movie is so beautiful! Literally in tears, the ending is so bittersweet, I love how the baby they saved has the same rune shape as Freyja. It seemed like they were one family. Wished Freyja would survive and live the rest of her life with Hayato and the baby.

I might be minority, but i felt robbed. They did add some nice rock song - that was fun, if you remember Black Heaven anime. rock is awesome for space bgm. And the details of animation wore deep.

But then they kill Freyja, then don't sing her best song("Ichido Dake no Koi Nara" they had liket 13 times in original anime) And whole enemy battle felt like short copy-paste of original.

I'm not big fan of Macross Franchise, at start it was very decent, but i feel it keeps getting worse.

I think Macross Frontier was solid but Delta was.... I won't comment on that. There's a reason why I don't even bother watching this and I'm a Macross fan.

You must be joking. I feel like puking after this corny-festival of crap. Seriously this movie just proves that Kawamori has really gone insane. This movie cant evoke any real human emotions because it was written by a 12 year old.
Not only the art style has gone the way of pokemon since Macross Zero, this aberration just keeps giving me cerebral gonorrhea cuz once upon a time I really liked Macross.
The ocean is blueeee...oh God please stop or my head will explode with such uncanny and profound phrases.
I´ll give you some of my own Macross Delta-like phrases Kawamori :
"The dick is fat...when in your mouth"
"Apples eventually become shit"
"The wind is farty...when it comes from your ass"

Robotech never had the money to make something cool, but at least it remained somewhat grounded in science fiction and the advancement of the plot and characters, Macross became the worst of all Japanese anime all at once. bluaargh

true i was hoping with that legendary song and the baby at the end they might have been able to make a miricle and at least have her condition stopped for at least a few years i mean look at how many of them have that crystalization but still live they could at least given them a few years together and her being able to be a family with the baby and them actually having a relationship

Wtf. I waited so long for the English translation and didn't even know this came out months ago.

Already kinda knew what was gonna happen since I read the summary/spoiler a while ago and already knew it was inevitable, but damn. RIP Freyja. Some top notch singing as always. The VA's are so good at expressing different emotions when they're singing, like with Freyja's strained voice and crying voice. Haven't watched previous Macross series, so I feel like I'm missing out a lot of the references, like with Captain Max and Lady M. Was kinda mad they let Freyja sing at first, but realized she probably didn't have much time anyway, and she died doing what she loved, at least. The Freyja baby is adorable. I'm guessing there's going to be a sequel based around her? The show gets pretty repetitive at times, but I don't really mind. I'm glad they took their time with the movie. No complaints, overall. But damn, it's been 8 years already since Macross Delta came out. Doesn't feel like it's been that long. When I was watching it, I was still in high school. Never thought I'd call Macross Delta nostalgic.
